Shipping Policy
Thank you for shopping with In Our House, operated by Katrien Hendrickx (VAT BE1029833756, Dokter van de Perrelei 68 – 001, 2140 Borgerhout, Belgium). This Shipping Policy describes how and when we deliver your orders, our handling times, and other important details related to shipping and delivery.
1. Processing Times
All orders are processed and packed with care in Antwerp, Belgium. We typically ship within 2–4 business days after receiving your order confirmation and payment. Please note that we do not ship on weekends or Belgian public holidays.
If there is any delay due to high demand or temporary stock issues, we will notify you by email.
2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
Orders are shipped from Belgium using reliable postal or courier services such as Bpost or DPD. Delivery times vary depending on your location:
- Belgium: 1–3 business days after dispatch
- European Union: 3–10 business days after dispatch
- Rest of the world: 7–21 business days after dispatch (depending on customs and local postal services)
These timeframes are estimates only. We cannot guarantee delivery dates once a parcel has been handed over to the carrier.
3. Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and package weight. You will see the total shipping cost before completing your order. Occasionally, we may offer free or reduced shipping during promotions, which will be clearly indicated at checkout.
4. Tracking
All parcels are shipped with a track & trace number. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your parcel’s journey.
5. Customs, Duties & Taxes
For orders shipped outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, or other fees may apply once the package reaches your country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over these fees and cannot predict their amount.
6. Lost, Delayed or Damaged Shipments
Once your order has been handed over to the carrier, title and risk pass to the buyer. We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by postal services, customs, or circumstances beyond our control (such as strikes, weather, or global disruptions).
If your parcel is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact the shipping provider using your tracking number. You may also email us at katrien@inourhouse.be — we will assist where possible.
7. Incorrect Address
Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate when placing your order. We cannot be held responsible for packages that are undeliverable due to incorrect or incomplete address details. If a parcel is returned to us because of an incorrect address, re-shipping costs will be charged to the customer.
8. Returns Due to Non-Delivery
If your package is returned to us because it was not collected in time or delivery failed, we will contact you. You may request a re-shipment (shipping fees apply) or a refund according to our Return & Refund Policy. Original shipping costs are not refundable.
